Our Services

Leitchfield Pediatrics is proud to be the only pediatric facility in Grayson County.  We specialize in providing premium, high-quality healthcare for all of our patients.  We do our best every day to follow AAP guidelines and actively participate in continuing education courses to stay up to date on the ever changing guideines of pediatric healthcare.

Just a few of the services we provide:

  • Comprehensive care of infants, children, and adolescents
  • Sports physical included in all well checks at no extra charge
  • Management of acute injuries (stitches/sutures, minor fractures, sprains, foreign body removal)
  • Management of mild to moderate acute illness (IV fluids, intramuscular antibiotics)
  • Mental health services (ADHD, anxiety/depression)
  • Allergy testing and immunotherapy (allergy shots and sublingual drops)
  • On-site X-Ray
  • Limited in-house laboratory services

We strive to make ourselves available to our patients:

  • Same day appointments available
  • 24/7 access to an on-call physician
  • Registered nurse available for phone advice during office hours
  • After hours appointments Monday through Friday
  • Saturday morning office hours

We are very aware that the field of medicine is dynamic and our jobs are always changing as new evidence leads to new guidelines.  We strive to align our recommendations and practice management with the guidelines set forth from the American Academy of Pediatrics, Center for Disease Control, and other such entities.  Listed below are some of the servies and interventions you can expect when seen at our office, all of which align with recommendations from the AAP, CDC and Kentucky state regulations.

  • Dental fluoride application at well-checks
  • CBC at 12 month well-check
  • Lead level at 12 and 24 month well-checks
  • Lipid and glucose levels at 11 year well-check and as needed based on risk factor screenings
  • Urine gonorrhea/chlamydia screening on all patients age 13 and up
  • We utilize multiple standardized forms to screen for appropriate development, post-partum depression, autism spectrum disorder, substance abuse, anxiety/depression and others
  • We follow the ACIP vaccination schedule and encourage and expect all of our patients to follow this as well per our recommendations
